!K7 Music is an influential German independent music company and record label founded in 1985 in Berlin by Reiner Bumke, Stephan Guntli, Michael F. Huse and Horst Weidenmüller. Originally launched as a music‑video production outfit, it evolved into a multifaceted music enterprise encompassing record releases, artist management, label services, publishing, distribution and sync/licensing. !K7 became best known for the DJ‑Kicks mix compilation series — one of electronic music’s most prestigious and enduring projects — featuring mixes by artists such as Kruder & Dorfmeister, Peggy Gou, DJ Koze and Moodymann. Over the decades, the company expanded its roster of in‑house labels, including Strut, 7K!, Ever and Soul Bank Music, and forged global partnerships while operating offices in Berlin, London and New York. In April 2025, Create Music Group acquired !K7, marking a strategic new chapter while preserving its independent ethos and legacy in electronic and underground music culture.
