SAP Center at San Jose is a major sports and entertainment arena in San Jose, California. Opened in 1993 as the San Jose Arena, it has undergone several naming changes before adopting the SAP Center name in 2013. The city-owned venue is operated by Sharks Sports & Entertainment and is best known as the home of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks. It hosts around 150 events annually, including professional sports, concerts, family shows and major competitions. The arena has welcomed more than 50 million visitors since opening.
