EMT Madrid is the public urban mobility company of Madrid, Spain, wholly owned by the City of Madrid. Founded in 1947, it initially managed the city's surface public transport, including buses, trams and trolleybuses. Today, its main activity is urban bus transport, complemented by services such as BiciMAD, municipal parking, the municipal tow service and the Madrid Cable Car. EMT operates a large fleet of low- and zero-emission buses and is focused on sustainable, accessible and technologically advanced mobility. It works within the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium.
