Vietnam Railways, officially Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR), is Vietnam's national railway company and a state-owned enterprise. Established in 2003 through the reorganization of the Vietnam Railway Union, it is responsible for railway passenger and freight transportation, railway infrastructure management and related services. Its network extends across Vietnam, with the North–South railway connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as its principal route. VNR operates passenger trains, including the Reunification Express services, as well as freight operations, stations and other railway-related businesses.
