About the brand ❤️
ExerciseTV was a U.S. fitness‑focused video‑on‑demand (VOD) service launched in January 2006 as a joint venture led by Jake Steinfeld alongside Comcast, Time Warner Cable and New Balance, aimed at delivering home workout programming directly through digital cable platforms. It offered a wide range of exercise content, including cardio, yoga, pilates, strength training and personal‑training videos that viewers could access at leisure through their cable provider’s on‑demand menus, with flexible play controls. The service reached millions of viewers monthly via major U.S. cable systems and stood out for bringing structured workout routines into the living room at a time when dedicated fitness content was rare on television. Despite its popularity in the late 2000s, ExerciseTV struggled to sustain its business model in the evolving digital landscape and ultimately shut down on 31 December 2011, discontinuing both its VOD channel and online services.
