About the brand ❤️
AC Baikal TV was a prominent Russian regional media holding and television company operating in Siberia, mainly in the Irkutsk region. Established in 1991 by Alexander Tyunikov and Stanislav Ogorodnikov, it quickly became one of the major broadcasters in the Irkutsk area, offering local news, entertainment, and cultural programming alongside retransmissions of various radio stations. The company expanded its operations over the years to include its own informational programs and digital initiatives, as well as collaboration with other local channels for content distribution. However, due to financial difficulties and the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting, the station eventually wound down regular broadcasting activities. By mid‑2022, the company’s operations had ceased and the holding was declared bankrupt, ending decades of local televised coverage in the region.
