Atlanta Beat was an American professional women's soccer club based in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Founded in 2009, it joined Women's Professional Soccer as an expansion franchise and began competition in 2010. Owned by entrepreneur T. Fitz Johnson, the team played its home matches at KSU Soccer Stadium in Kennesaw, Georgia. The Beat competed for two seasons, finishing seventh in 2010 and sixth in 2011. After WPS suspended its 2012 season, the Atlanta Beat ceased operations and was dissolved in 2012.
