Avago Technologies was a semiconductor company established in Singapore in 2005, originating from the semiconductor products division of Agilent Technologies. It designed and supplied analog, digital, mixed-signal, and optoelectronic components used in smartphones, telecommunications equipment, data centers, industrial systems, and consumer electronics. The company expanded through acquisitions, including businesses specializing in networking and storage technologies. In 2016, Avago completed its combination with Broadcom Corporation and adopted the Broadcom Limited name, bringing the two semiconductor businesses together under one corporate organization.
