About the brand ❤️
Banca d’Italia is the central bank of the Republic of Italy, founded by law on 10 August 1893 via the merger of several issuing banks (including Banca Nazionale del Regno, Banca Nazionale Toscana, and others). Its statutory seat is Palazzo Koch in Rome. As an institution under public law, it carries out key roles in monetary policy, banking supervision, financial stability, and economic research. Since the creation of the euro and the European Central Bank, Banca d’Italia implements the ECB’s monetary policy in Italy, issues and withdraws euro banknotes, oversees payments systems, and supervises credit institutions. It is legally independent and forms part of the Eurosystem.
