Bandai Visual was a Japanese anime, film and video distribution company founded in 1983 as A.E. Planning, a subsidiary of Bandai. It became known for distributing and producing anime, films and other visual media, particularly through the Emotion label. Its portfolio included major Japanese animation properties such as Mobile Suit Gundam and other popular anime productions. Bandai Visual became a wholly owned subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings in 2008. In 2018, it merged with Lantis to form Bandai Namco Arts, ending Bandai Visual as a separate company. The brand continues to exist as a label within Bandai Namco Filmworks.
