Bertolli is an Italian food brand founded in 1865 by Francesco and Caterina Bertolli in Lucca, Tuscany. The business began as a small delicatessen selling olive oil, wine, cheese and olives, later becoming an international pioneer in exporting Italian olive oil. Over more than 150 years, Bertolli expanded its portfolio to include olive oils, pasta sauces, spreads and other Italian-inspired foods. Today, the Bertolli trademark is owned by Japan’s Mizkan Holdings, while different companies manage individual products and markets.
