Boston Gas Company is an American natural gas utility serving customers in Boston and other communities across Massachusetts. The present Boston Gas Company was incorporated in 1903 and has roots extending to the early gas companies established in Boston during the 19th century. The company became part of KeySpan in 2000 and subsequently joined National Grid following its acquisition of KeySpan in 2007. Today, Boston Gas Company operates under the National Grid name and remains an active regulated gas distribution business in Massachusetts.
