Corona Extra is a Mexican pale lager beer introduced in 1925 by Cervecería Modelo in Mexico City. It became one of Mexico’s best-known beer exports and developed into a major international brand. Corona Extra is traditionally served with a lime wedge and is recognized for its distinctive clear glass bottle and crown logo. The brand is now part of Grupo Modelo, which has been owned by AB InBev since 2013. Corona is sold in more than 180 countries and is one of the world’s most valuable beer brands.
