Davidoff is a Swiss premium brand associated primarily with cigars, tobacco products and luxury accessories. Its roots date to 1911, when Zino Davidoff's father opened a tobacconist's shop in Geneva. Zino later developed the family business into an internationally recognized luxury cigar brand. In 1970, the tobacco business was acquired by Oettinger AG, which developed Davidoff into a global premium cigar company. The cigarette business was later separated, with Imperial Brands acquiring the Davidoff cigarette trademark in 2006. Today, Davidoff cigars remain part of the family-owned Oettinger Davidoff Group.
