Distinctive Software, Inc. was a Canadian video-game developer founded in 1982 by Don Mattrick and Jeff Sember in British Columbia. The company became known for developing racing, sports and action games, as well as computer ports of arcade titles. Its best-known works included Test Drive, The Duel: Test Drive II, Grand Prix Circuit, HardBall II, 4D Sports Boxing and Stunts. Distinctive Software worked with publishers including Accolade and developed games for multiple home-computer platforms. In 1991, Electronic Arts acquired the company and renamed it EA Canada, making Distinctive Software the predecessor of today's EA Vancouver studio.
