Dogs Trust is a British animal welfare charity dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and promoting responsible dog ownership. Founded in 1891 as the National Canine Defence League, it began as a campaign against cruelty and gradually developed into one of the UK's leading dog welfare organizations. The charity adopted the Dogs Trust name in 2003 and today operates rehoming centres, veterinary and behavioural support services, education programs, fostering initiatives, and international welfare projects. It works to prevent dog homelessness, care for abandoned and unwanted dogs, and help owners and dogs live successfully together.
