Downtown Disney is an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment district at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It opened on January 12, 2001, as part of the major expansion of the resort that also introduced Disney California Adventure Park and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The district connects Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure and the Disneyland Resort hotels. It offers restaurants, shops, entertainment and seasonal experiences, and admission is free. Downtown Disney continues to undergo redevelopment and modernization as part of Disneyland’s long-term expansion plans.
