DreamWorks Pictures is an American film production and distribution label founded in 1994 by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen. It was established as a major entertainment studio producing live-action films, television programs and other media. The studio became known for films such as Saving Private Ryan, American Beauty, Gladiator, Minority Report and Catch Me If You Can. After several ownership and distribution changes, DreamWorks Pictures became part of Amblin Partners in 2015. Today, the label remains active under Amblin Partners, with Universal Pictures serving as its principal distribution partner.
