Festival RTP da Canção 2024 was the 58th edition of Portugal’s national song competition organized by RTP to select the Portuguese representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. The event was held in Lisbon and consisted of two semifinals and a grand final broadcast on RTP1 and RTP Play. Twenty competing songs participated in the competition, combining invited composers and public submissions. The winner was “Grito” performed by Iolanda, who represented Portugal at Eurovision 2024 in Sweden. The festival is one of Europe’s oldest television music competitions and remains a major cultural event in Portugal.
