Firesprite is a British video game development studio based in Liverpool, England. Founded in 2012 by former Studio Liverpool developers, the company initially focused on creating games and interactive experiences for PlayStation platforms. Firesprite developed titles including The Playroom, The Persistence and Horizon Call of the Mountain in collaboration with Guerrilla. In September 2021, Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired Firesprite, making it part of PlayStation Studios. The studio continues to develop games for PlayStation and other platforms, combining expertise in virtual reality, immersive experiences and large-scale game production.
