Fremantle Football Club, commonly known as the Fremantle Dockers or simply Freo, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Fremantle, Western Australia. Established in 1994 to compete in the Australian Football League (AFL), it became the second team from Western Australia to join the national competition. The club is owned on behalf of the sport by the West Australian Football Commission and overseen by a board of directors, operating with strong community and member engagement. Fremantle’s team colours are purple and white, reflected in its nickname and iconic jumper designs. Home games are played at the 60,000-seat Perth Stadium (Optus Stadium) while training and administrative operations are conducted at the Cockburn ARC facilities near Perth.
