Gemcom Software was a Canadian software company founded in 1985 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. It developed specialized geological modeling, mine planning and simulation software for the global mining industry, supporting activities such as exploration, resource estimation, geological modeling and mine production management. Gemcom became a major supplier of mining software and served thousands of customer locations worldwide. In July 2012, Dassault Systèmes acquired the company for approximately US$360 million and incorporated its technology and team into the newly created GEOVIA brand.
