About the brand ❤️
GINAF is a Dutch manufacturer specializing in heavy-duty trucks for off-road, construction, agricultural, and bespoke industrial applications. The company has deep roots going back to the early 1930s when Evert van Ginkel founded an automotive and vehicle conversion operation in Ederveen, Netherlands. Over time, his sons expanded the operations and established GINAF (short for Van Ginkels Automobiel Fabriek), officially producing trucks under the GINAF name from the late 1960s. Based in Veenendaal, GINAF is known for technical innovation — hydraulic front axle drives, hydropneumatic suspension, and multi-axle and 4×4 to 10×8 vehicle configurations. After a period under Chinese ownership (CHTC), in 2020 the company returned to Dutch management via a buy-out, and more recently operations have been acquired by Clean Logistics. GINAF produces only a few hundred trucks annually, but its niche is strong: rugged, reliable heavy-haul and custom vehicle applications not suited to mass-market manufacturers.
