About the brand ❤️
Google Allo was an instant messaging app developed by Google that aimed to bring smarter chat features to smartphones through integration with Google Assistant and machine learning-driven suggestions. Launched in September 2016 for Android and iOS, Allo let users send messages, images, files and voice notes, and introduced its Smart Reply feature that offered context-aware automatic response options. The app also included an optional incognito mode with end-to-end encryption and features like message resizing and playful stickers. Despite its innovative intent, Allo struggled to gain widespread adoption and Google shifted focus toward other communication solutions. In December 2018 the company announced the app would be discontinued, and Allo was officially shut down in March 2019, with many of its ideas later influencing features in Google Messages and other Google services.
