Google Street View is an interactive panoramic imagery technology integrated into Google Maps and Google Earth that enables users to virtually explore streets, rural areas, landmarks and unique locations around the world in 360-degree panoramic views. First launched in the United States in 2007, the service has since expanded to cover tens of thousands of cities and regions across the globe. Street View imagery is collected using specially equipped vehicles, backpacks and other camera systems to capture high-resolution photos that are stitched together into seamless navigable experiences.
