Gordon Food Service is an American family-owned foodservice distribution company founded in 1897 by Isaac Van Westenbrugge in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It began as a small butter-and-egg delivery business and gradually developed into a major North American distributor. The company supplies food, beverages, equipment and related products to restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, hotels and other foodservice operators. Gordon Food Service expanded into Canada in 1993 and today operates throughout the United States and Canada. It remains privately held and managed by successive generations of the Gordon family.
