Hard Rock Cafe is an international restaurant and entertainment brand founded in London in 1971 by Americans Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton. The concept combines American-style food with rock music, live performances and an extensive collection of music memorabilia. The first location became famous for displaying guitars and other items donated by musicians, creating a tradition that continues throughout the chain. Hard Rock expanded internationally during the 1980s and became part of Hard Rock International. In 2007, the Seminole Tribe of Florida acquired the brand. Today, Hard Rock Cafe operates restaurants and Rock Shops in numerous countries worldwide.
