About the brand ❤️
The Iceland national football team is the official men’s team representing Iceland in international association football, competing in FIFA and UEFA competitions such as the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship. Organised by the Football Association of Iceland (KSÍ), which was founded in 1947, the team played its first official international match in 1946 and has grown steadily in stature over decades. Iceland achieved global attention in the 2010s by qualifying for major tournaments: reaching the UEFA Euro 2016 quarter-finals — highlighted by a famous victory over England — and becoming the then-smallest nation by population to qualify for a FIFA World Cup in 2018. Known by supporters as Strákarnir okkar (“Our Boys”), the national team draws its players from both domestic leagues and European clubs and plays home matches at Laugardalsvöllur Stadium in Reykjavík. Iceland’s passionate fan base and spirited performances have made it a respected and competitive presence in international football, regularly competing in qualification campaigns and earning memorable results on the world stage.
