About the brand ❤️
Infogrames was a French video game developer and publisher founded in 1983 by Bruno Bonnell and Christophe Sapet. Based in Paris and originally Villeurbanne, it became one of Europe’s most prominent game companies, producing and publishing many titles for home computers and consoles. In the 1990s and early 2000s, Infogrames expanded through acquisitions of studios and brands, including Ocean Software, GT Interactive, Accolade, and Atari, using the Atari name for many releases. In 2009 the original corporate entity was renamed Atari SA, effectively retiring the Infogrames name as a corporate brand. In 2024, the “Infogrames” brand was revived by Atari SA as a publishing label for games that fall outside Atari’s main portfolio, continuing the legacy of the historic name in the gaming industry.
