Irish Rail, officially Iarnród Éireann, is Ireland's national railway operator and a subsidiary of Córas Iompair Éireann. Established in 1987, it provides passenger and freight rail services throughout the Republic of Ireland and operates the DART suburban rail network in Dublin. Its Intercity and commuter services connect Dublin with major cities and towns including Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford, Sligo and Rosslare. The company also operates Rosslare Europort and jointly runs the Enterprise service between Dublin and Belfast with Northern Ireland Railways.
