Jägermeister is a German herbal liqueur brand created by Curt Mast in Wolfenbüttel. The recipe was perfected in 1934 and the drink was launched on the German market in 1935. Its distinctive formula combines 56 herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits, while the iconic green bottle and stag-head emblem have become closely associated with the brand. Jägermeister began international exports in the late 1950s and has since developed into a global premium spirits brand available in more than 140 markets. The company remains family-owned and headquartered in Wolfenbüttel, Germany.
