About the brand ❤️
LDLC OL was a professional French esports organization based in Lyon, France, with roots dating back to its founding as Team LDLC.com in 2010 by Groupe LDLC. Over more than a decade, the organization competed in multiple competitive gaming titles, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, Fortnite, and others, and gained recognition within the European esports scene. In January 2020, a strategic partnership with Olympique Lyonnais (through OL Groupe) led to the rebranding of the team as LDLC OL, strengthening its profile and linking it with one of France’s premier football clubs. Despite competitive successes and national championship titles, LDLC OL and its owners announced in May 2023 that the partnership would end and that all esports operations would be discontinued by 31 July 2023. This marked the closure of one of France’s historically significant esports teams, which had played a role in developing professional players and contributing to the country’s digital competitive culture.
