Founded in 1908 by brothers Robert and Émile Servan-Schreiber, it originally appeared as a monthly publication promoting their family export business. The newspaper became a daily in 1928 and developed into a leading French business publication. It covers economics, companies, finance, markets, politics, technology and international affairs. Today, Les Échos operates in print and digital formats and is part of Groupe Les Échos-Le Parisien, owned by LVMH.
