Live Search was Microsoft’s web search engine launched in 2006 to replace MSN Search and later Windows Live Search. Developed from the U.S.-based tech giant Microsoft, it aimed to deliver richer search experiences, introducing features like blended vertical results spanning web, news, shopping, health, and local content. Initially debuted via live.com and msn.com, it eventually prioritized algorithm enhancements and expanded indexing to better interpret user intent. On June 3, 2009, Microsoft retired the Live Search brand and officially rebranded the service as Bing.
