About the brand ❤️
Livre Paris, now officially known as the Festival du Livre de Paris, is France’s premier annual book fair and literary festival, first established in 1981 by the Syndicat National de l’Édition (National Publishing Union). Held each spring in Paris, the event brings together publishers, authors, booksellers, translators, and readers from across France and around the world to celebrate literature in all its forms. Originally known as the Salon du Livre de Paris, the fair evolved its name to Livre Paris in the 2010s and later to Festival du Livre de Paris to emphasize its cultural and interactive programming, which includes author talks, book signings, panels, and workshops. Attracting tens of thousands of visitors and featuring hundreds of participants and thousands of titles, the festival plays a central role in promoting French and international publishing, fostering dialogue about books and ideas, and supporting the literary community’s creative and commercial activities. The event is organised in iconic Paris venues like the Grand Palais and the Porte de Versailles, offering a meeting ground for professionals and the general public alike to discover new works and engage in cultural exchange.
