Magna Pacific (also known as Magna Home Entertainment) was an Australian home entertainment distributor founded in 1983, originally trading as Magna Vision, later as Magna Pacific. Based in Brisbane, Queensland, it operated in Australia and New Zealand, distributing DVDs, Blu-rays and digital content, including television series, feature films, children’s programming and documentaries. In 2009 Beyond International acquired Magna Pacific, and by 2012 the “Magna” brand was phased out, replaced with Beyond’s branding (Beyond Home Entertainment). Its catalogue, infrastructure and rights were absorbed into Beyond’s operations, marking the end of Magna as an independent label.
