Málaga Club de Fútbol, commonly known as Málaga CF, is a Spanish professional football club based in Málaga, Andalusia, currently competing in the Segunda División, the second tier of Spanish football following promotion in 2024–25. Founded on 25 May 1948 as Club Atlético Malagueño, the club adopted the Málaga CF identity in the 1990s and has a long regional tradition. Home matches are played at the La Rosaleda Stadium, a venue with a passionate local following. Since 2010, the club has been owned by Sheikh Abdullah ben Nasser Al Thani, under whose tenure Málaga reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in 2012–13.
