About the brand ❤️
Maxdata was a German information technology company founded in 1987 by Holger Lampatz in Marl, North Rhine‑Westphalia. It became one of Europe’s notable PC and hardware producers, selling personal computers, notebooks, servers, and monitors, often under its own name and the Belinea brand. Through the 1990s and early 2000s the company expanded across Europe, including subsidiaries in several countries. Financial challenges amid intense competition drove Maxdata to file for insolvency in 2008. The brand and assets were sold off, and by around 2016 production of its traditional desktop and portable systems had ceased under the Maxdata name.
