About the brand ❤️
Microsoft Clippy, officially known as Clippit, was an animated virtual assistant introduced by Microsoft in 1997 as part of Microsoft Office 97. The character appeared as a small anthropomorphic paperclip designed to help users perform tasks such as writing documents, formatting text, and using Office features. Clippy used interactive tips and simple animations to guide beginners through common operations in applications like Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Although intended to make software easier to use, many users found the assistant intrusive, and Microsoft gradually removed it from later Office versions, officially discontinuing the character in 2007.
