About the brand ❤️
Milka is a famous European chocolate brand introduced in 1901 by the Swiss chocolatier Suchard, taking its name from the German words Milch (milk) and Kakao (cocoa) which reflect its signature milk-rich chocolate. Over the 20th century it became especially associated with Germany, where production was concentrated in Lörrach and other factories. Its distinctive lilac-colored packaging and the iconic Alpine cow mascot have made it one of the most recognizable confectionery products in Europe. In 1990, the brand was acquired by Kraft Foods, which later became Mondelēz International, the current U.S.-based owner that markets Milka globally across more than a dozen countries. Today Milka’s product range includes milk chocolate bars, seasonal treats, and chocolate-covered biscuits, with production facilities in several European countries to supply local markets while preserving its Alpine heritage and creamy texture.
