The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) is a cabinet-level government ministry of Taiwan responsible for national transportation and communications policy, regulation and administration. Its responsibilities cover land, maritime and air transportation, tourism, meteorology and communications. The ministry oversees numerous agencies and organizations, including the Highway Bureau, Civil Aviation Administration, Railway Bureau, Maritime and Port Bureau, Tourism Administration and Central Weather Administration. It also develops policies and regulations and supervises major transportation infrastructure and services.
