Founded by Jean Mantelet with the invention of a hand-crank food mill in 1932, the company later became known under the name “Moulinex” around 1957. It pioneered affordable electric appliances such as food processors, blenders and coffee grinders during the mid-20th century. Although the original company went bankrupt in 2001, the brand survives today under Groupe SEB, appearing on a broad range of kitchen appliances distributed globally.
