MSC.Working Knowledge was an American software division of MSC.Software focused on mechanical simulation and virtual prototyping tools. It was created in 1999 through the combination of Knowledge Revolution, acquired by MSC in 1998, and MSC/InCheck. The division developed products including Working Model, Interactive Physics and visualNastran Desktop, allowing engineers, designers and educators to simulate motion, mechanical systems and physical behavior. Based in San Mateo, California, MSC.Working Knowledge operated as part of MSC.Software until it was merged into the parent company around 2003.
