About the brand ❤️
NetWaste is a voluntary regional waste management group established in 1995 in New South Wales, Australia that brings together 25 member local government councils to collaborate on sustainable waste and resource‑recovery practices. Supported by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA), NetWaste covers a large portion of regional NSW and focuses on shared planning, procurement, education, and community engagement to improve waste outcomes across municipal boundaries. The organisation facilitates collective contracts and infrastructure initiatives, delivers targeted waste‑reduction projects, and promotes recycling, composting, and responsible disposal to reduce landfill and environmental impact. It also engages communities through programs and strategic frameworks designed to change waste behaviours and support councils with technical knowledge, policy interpretation, and capacity building. By providing a unified platform for councils, NetWaste enhances economies of scale, fosters innovation in regional waste management, and supports the implementation of state waste strategies, contributing to improved environmental stewardship and resource efficiency throughout central and western NSW.
