About the brand ❤️
Nexen Tire Corporation is a major South Korean tire manufacturer founded in 1942 as Heung-A Tire Company. Headquartered in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province (with offices also in Seoul), it is publicly traded on the Korea Exchange. The company rebranded from Woosung Tire to Nexen Tire in 2000—combining “next” and “century” to reflect a forward-looking vision. Nexen produces a wide range of tires: for passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks, winter use, and performance (UHP) segments, exporting to more than 120 countries across the globe. Its manufacturing footprint includes plants in Korea and China, with additional global R&D and sales operations. Over recent years it has grown revenue substantially, invested in new plants (including in Europe), emphasised research and development (e.g. nano-composite tire technology), and expanded its brand and market presence in original equipment (OE) fitments.
