About the brand ❤️
The Nexus S is an Android smartphone co‑developed by Google and manufactured by Samsung Electronics, released in December 2010 as part of the Google Nexus series, which showcased a pure Android experience. It was the first smartphone to ship with Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” and the first Android device to support Near Field Communication (NFC) hardware and software. Built on Samsung hardware, the Nexus S featured a 4‑inch touchscreen, a 1 GHz processor, a 5 MP rear camera, and 16 GB internal storage. The handset served as the successor to the Nexus One and preceded the Galaxy Nexus, targeting developers and early adopters who wanted an unmodified Android platform. Though production has long since ended, it remains notable in mobile history for driving NFC adoption and Android platform evolution.
