About the brand ❤️
Parasuco is a Canadian denim and fashion brand, founded in 1975 by Salvatore Parasuco in Montreal under the name Santana Jeans. With roots in denim innovation—stretch denim, acid-wash, black over-dye—the brand gained popularity for its bold designs and figure-flattering cuts. In 1988, to facilitate expansion into the U.S. market (where “Santana” was already registered), the brand was renamed Parasuco Jeans Inc.. Headquartered in Montreal, Parasuco manufactures and markets premium denim clothing and related fashion apparel. Although its Canadian retail storefronts were closed in 2015 when its retail division filed for bankruptcy, Parasuco continues to operate globally via online sales, wholesale distribution, licensing, and a private-label business. The brand remains known for its strong aesthetic identity (notably its chimera logo), its contributions to denim fashion trends, and maintaining design and innovation in its collections.
