The Peru national football team—also known as La Blanquirroja—is Peru’s official men’s team in international competition. It is organized by the Federación Peruana de Fútbol (FPF), founded in 1922 and headquartered in Lima, within the VIDENA sports complex. The FPF has been a FIFA member since 1924 and a CONMEBOL member since 1925. The team played its first official matches in the late 1920s and has achieved historic success, including winning the Copa América in 1939 and 1975, and competing in multiple FIFA World Cups.
