About the brand ❤️

Pharmacia was a Swedish pharmaceutical and biotechnology company founded in 1911 by pharmacist Gustaf Felix Grönfeldt in Stockholm. It became one of Sweden's leading pharmaceutical businesses, specializing in medicines, biotechnology, medical diagnostics and healthcare products. The company gained international recognition for innovations in dextran-based products, chromatography materials and ophthalmic surgery solutions. In 1951, Pharmacia moved its operations to Uppsala, which became an important centre for its research and development. Following a merger with the American Upjohn Company in 1995, it eventually became part of Pfizer in 2003, ending its existence as an independent company.
