Portland Streetcar is a modern streetcar system serving central Portland, Oregon, United States. It began passenger service in 2001 and was developed as a City of Portland project to improve public transportation and support urban development. The system now operates three lines across approximately 16 miles of track, connecting Downtown Portland, the Pearl District, Northwest Portland, South Waterfront, Lloyd District, Central Eastside and other nearby neighborhoods. The City owns the system, while operations are supported through partnerships with Portland Streetcar, Inc. and TriMet. The network continues to expand, with a Montgomery Park extension planned.
